July Newsletter

From the librarian…

Our summer program is going great! We have children that have earned 40 point already toward a prize of their choice!  We are offering several opportunities for children to earn points, stop by and check it out! It’s hard to believe there is only 3 weeks left of the summer reading program. It’s not too late to join in the fun!

From the Director…

We are so excited for the new opportunities we have planned. Come on in and try out the library’s new Cricut machine. Just bring your own paper/vinyl and get to creating! Don’t forget to take advantage of our Bicycle Check Out program!  Starting in September we will be resuming more adult programming including bringing back our Ladies Night activities!

The snack program gives healthy snacks to children up to age 18yrs! We are offering these snacks Tuesdays – Fridays and can be picked up anytime throughout the day.

There is also a cute, simple craft to help engage your child!

Check out what’s new!

As new books and DVD’s arrive, there is a good selection of material just for you! If there is something in particular you are looking for, let us know and we can borrow it from another library!

Children’s Programs:

Our theme for the summer reading program is Tails & Tales so we have been doing activities that include animals! The children have enjoyed puppet shows, dissecting owl pellets, and many more engaging activities!

We also have a few patrons who are participating in the 1000 Books Before Age 5 program! There is one family that is so close to reaching their goal, Congratulations!! If you would like more information about this program, come see us at the library.

Adult programs:

The adult book club will return in August!

We have a yoga kit available for check out! The kit has everything you need to practice yoga in your own home!

We now have a wood burning kit available for check out!

We are working on reopening Ladies Night! If you are interested in a specific topic, please let us know! The current plan is for the library to host a monthly class/event geared toward community interest and is open to any lady who would like to attend.

Look for more adult kits coming!
